Have a story to tell about Grandpa's "Ole
to send it to us. If we like it, we'll use it right here!
Out fishing on Shawno Lake, in Wisconsin, my little brother, my dad, and I were fishing for northern pike in our favorite spot. I was using one of my favorite lures, an orange Rapala minnow, and
reeling in my line I saw a monster pike, at least three feet long! It follows my Rapala to the boat and as I turn into a figure-eight it turns right around and just leaves. I yelled to my dad and brother and they come over and I tell them what happened and as a dad does to make me feel better, he tells me that the water makes the fish look bigger than it is, so I
didn't miss out on that big of a fish. My brother though, as a brother does,
teased me about it all
day. To this day they still don't believe me. And since
then I have never seen that monster again, maybe some other lucky angler caught it but whoever got
it is one lucky fisherman.
